About Us
We are an R&D, sustainability and innovation-focused global manufacturer and supplier of speciality chemicals to customers across the hydrocarbons and industrial supply chains, including the oil and gas, refining and petrochemicals industries, and customers with diverse applications across industrial segments. Established in 1992, we are a pioneer in the development, commercialization and application of specialty chemicals in India, according to the F&S Report. As at August 31, 2024, we have 16 manufacturing facilities across four countries. With 570 global patent registrations and 99 U.S. patent registrations, we are the only India-based chemical company with global brand recognition and the only process chemical company founded outside the United States with global brand recognition, according to the F&S Report. Our customers as at August 31, 2024 included Reliance Industries, Petronas, Indian Oil Corporation, PPG Energy, Clariant, Liberty Oilfield, Italiana Petroli, and Vedanta.

He is the Director (R&D) and heads all the R&D activities of the Group. He has been with the Group since 1997. He received the prestigious DSIR National Award in R&D in 2008. He is a doctorate in Polymer Chemistry from IIT Bombay and is an inventor and a patent holder. Under his leadership Dorf Ketal has filed several global patents.

Mr. Desai is a Non-Executive Independent Director at Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India Private Limited and He is associated with companies like Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited. Mr. Desai is a Chartered Accountant and has over 36 years of rich experience, and has been the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Glenmark until 2016. Mr. Desai led the Finance, Legal and IT functions at Glenmark, and has contributed significantly to its growth story.

Dr. P.D. Vaghela joined as Chairman, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on 1st October, 2020. Prior to joining TRAI, Dr. Vaghela was Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. Dr. Vaghela had graduated in Commerce in the year 1982. He did his M.B.A (Master of Business Administration) with specialization in Financial Management in 1984 and also obtained M.A in Development Studies (Public Policy & Management) from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague in the Netherlands in the year 2005. He was decorated with a Doctorate in the year 2013 in sociology in Policy Implementation by Sardar Patel University, Anand, Gujarat.
He joined Indian Administrative Service [IAS] in 1986. He has held various assignments starting from District level to State level, during which he had won a number of awards for excellence as best Collector & District Magistrate and best District Development Officer. In his assignment as Chairman, Kandla Port (2008-2013), the port was awarded as the best major port for five years of his tenure. He worked as Chief Commissioner of State Tax, in Gujarat, during which period he has played a major role at national level in drafting GST law, its rules and fixing GST rates of goods and services as Convener of national level GST Law and GST Fitment Committees. He was also closely involved in the GST implementation at national level as a key member of GST Implementation Committee.
As Secretary Pharmaceuticals, he has launched four ambitious schemes (two PLI schemes for manufacturing APIs and Medical device and two schemes for development of manufacturing infrastructure namely Drug Parks and Medical Device Parks ) to transform the sector. He also worked as Convenor of Empowered Group 3 for Covid management which handled availability of critical medical supplies like PPE, N-95, Ventilators and testing kits. Today India is exporting these items for which India was otherwise dependent on imports during pre-covid time. In May, 2018, Dr. Vaghela was honoured by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India by PM’s award for Excellence in Public Administration while appreciating his contribution in implementation of GST in India.”

Nanda has nearly 40 years of experience across sectors like manufacturing, retail, FMCG, telecom, and services in India and abroad. With a postgraduate degree in Human Resources, he has held key HR leadership roles at companies such as Tata Chemicals, Tata Communications, Amara Raja Group, and Landmark Group. His responsibilities have included overseeing HR, manufacturing, procurement, corporate communications, CSR, and business ethics. He has served on various boards and committees and is a life member of NHRD, ISTD, and NIPM. He retired in February 2023 after a distinguished career.
He joined the Tata Group in 2006 as Senior Vice President & CHRO at Tata Communications Ltd. before moving to Tata Chemicals in 2012 as CHRO. As a member of the Global Executive Committee, he provided leadership to the global functions of Human Resources & Administration, Corporate Communications, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility until his superannuation in Feb 2023.

Professor Ganapati D. Yadav is the Founding Vice Chancellor and R.T. Mody Distinguished Professor, and Tata Chemicals Darbari Seth Distinguished Professor of Innovation and Leadership of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai (formerly UDCT), which is a Deemed-to-be-University having Elite Status and Centre of Excellence given by State Assembly on par with IITs/IISc/IISERs. He is J.C. Bose National Fellow and Adjunct Professor at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia and University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He is the topmost engineering scientists and academicians in India, who despite being an administrator, is still actively involved in guiding Ph.D., patenting, publishing, consulting and transferring technologies to industry. He has been an active consultant to industry with more than 70 assignments and over 70 sponsored research projects for past 40 years.

Bhavna Thakur is Chief Operating Officer of Tifin Studios II, working in the arena of artificial intelligence, technology and finance. Prior to this she was the head of Capital Markets at Everstone Capital and Citigroup India and has over 24 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A and capital markets. She holds a BA LLB (Hons.) from National Law School of India and a postgraduate degree in Law from Columbia University. She also worked with Citigroup, Morgan Stanley in Mumbai and Paul Weiss, Wharton Garrison LLP and Davis Polk and Wardwell LLP in London and New York, respectively.
Dr. Deepak R. Parikh

Dr. Deepak Parikh, 62, studied chemical engineering at Bombay University (UICT) and earned a Ph.D. in engineering from University of Tennessee and significant advanced education in materials science and engineering from University of Utah, where he worked on development of the first artificial heart. He holds 45 U.S. patents.
Dr. Parikh is Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Committee Member of Indorama Ventures PCL from 1st April, 2019. Dr. Parikh is articulating and executing strategy and portfolio enhancement along with the Executive members of Indorama PCL. Indorama is globally diversified chemical company having over 100+ plants in 30+ countries.
Prior to this, Dr. Parikh was President and Chief Executive Officer of Clariant Corporation North America. Dr. Parikh spent over 6 years with Clariant. Clariant is a globally leading specialty chemicals company, based in Switzerland. Dr. Parikh has also served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited (public listed company) along with presiding over Clariant’s Middle East and Africa region.
Prior to joining Clariant, Dr. Parikh was engaged with total of 20 years with Dow Chemical, DuPont, Invista and about 5 years with private equity firms. Dr. Parikh was regional president for India, Middle East and Africa Region for Dow Chemical and regional president for Asia Region during his tenure at DuPont.

He is the Group CFO of Dorf Ketal. He manages Accounting, Financial, Commercial and Taxation related matters for all the Group companies across the globe. Prior to joining Dorf Ketal in 2004, he was handling the financial activities of other manufacturing companies besides gaining 4 years of auditing experience at C.C Chokshi & Co. (a member firm of Deloitte). He has played an active part in the M&A transactions pursued by the Group across the globe. He is a Chartered Accountant.

Mr Rajdeep Shahane is the Company Secretary – Head – Secretarial. He is responsible for corporate secretarial functions and regulatory compliance.
